| Abstract: |
The lateral periodontal cyst is a rare nosological entity. The classical feature about lateral cyst is that in spite of the radiological and clinical presentation it can only be diagnosed by the typical histopathological characteristics. The purpose of this paper is to report a case of a lateral periodontal cyst in a 13-year-old boy and to describe its clinical, radiographic and histologic features which included a unicystic cavity lined by non-keratinized squamous epithelium containing glycogen-containing clear cells with a special emphasis on the treatment module via enucleation.
