I Background: i Although we are rapidly learning more about coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), we still know little about why some infected persons have severe disease and others are asymptomatic or have mild disease. We also know that the number of polymerase chain reaction cycles needed to produce detectable viral RNA was similar (Table), which suggests that the viral load at diagnosis was similar.
