Abstract (English): Background: The medical staff in the fight against SARS CoV 2 infection, must quickly find adaptation and defense mechanisms to control the psycho-emotional, cognitive, physical and professional overload, characteristic of a pandemic. Materials and method: We interviewed the health-care staff (36 persons) from the Oncology- Palliative Care Department twice (with a 6 weeks interval) to identify signs of anxiety, depression and adaptation mechanisms. Results and discussion: 11% of the health-care staff showed, at the first interview, an "abnormal" score for anxiety and depression. The second interview highlighted that t he respondent's age ("40 years or older") and longer seniority in medical activity can be a benefit in adapting and reversing the signs of anxiety and depression. Conclusions: The medical staff, during the SARS CoV 2 pandemic, experiences feelings of anxiety and depression, with negative dynamics especially for young people or less experienced in the medical field.
