| Abstract: |
The article reflects on the positive and negative side of academic life, particularly in the sports and science field. It discusses the importance of leadership role to empirical research or project. Challenges to academic research in the sport and science field include securing of funding grants for research projects, expectation that staff always need to climb the academic career ladder, burnout, and mental health issues. Emphasis is given on the need to develop effective support programs. |
