The article shares reflections about the similarities between traditionalist Catholics and Jansenists. Topics discussed include the history of Jansenism, the parallels between contemporary traditionalists and Jansenists including the tendency to moral rigorism, mistrust of the pope and pessimistic views of non-Christian religions, and steps that can be taken by Catholics who believe that the Church is at odds with tradition. |
