| Abstract: |
In this panel, we address both scholarly and practitioner calls for more equitable cross-sector partnerships (CSPs) by discussing localization efforts by Global North orchestrators of CSPs for sustainable development. The panel brings together scholars and practitioners interested in international CSPs and orchestration for grand challenges. The symposium objectives are threefold. First, we aim to identify and explore how tensions between Global North and Global South actors come to bear during the localization of orchestration efforts. Second, we discuss these tensions from the perspectives of equity and justice, furthering our understanding of structural power asymmetries. Third, we reflect upon the changes that need to be made to facilitate more equitable CSPs, capable of addressing grand challenges. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
