| Abstract: |
The article focuses on the treatment efficacy of topical corticosteroids (TCs) and acitretin for cutaneous lichen planus (CLP) in pediatric patients. A retrospective study involving 25 children diagnosed with CLP at Necker–Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris assessed treatment outcomes over a follow-up period from 2013 to 2023. The study found that TCs were effective for many patients, with 62% achieving complete remission, while acitretin was introduced for those who did not respond to TCs, resulting in a 50% complete remission rate among those treated with acitretin. The findings suggest that acitretin may be a valuable option for pediatric CLP cases resistant to topical treatments. [Extracted from the article] |
