| Abstract (English): |
The green economy seeks a balance between economic develo pment, environmental sustainability, and social well-being, aiming to benefit local communities and society as a whole, while preserving ecosystems and playing a crucial role in contributing to tourist destinations. This article analyzes the contribution of the green economy to the sustainability of tourist destinations. The methodology was structured in phases, developed through a literature review process, beginning with documentary research, continuing with the theoretical aspects of the green economy and the sustainability of tourist destinations, and concluding with the contributions of the green economy to the sustainability of the destinations in question. The results show that the green economy contributes to the sustainability of tourist destinations through the efficient use of resources, the promotion of renewable energies, sustainable waste management, sustainable mobility, sustainable agriculture and food, sustainable construction and building, ecotourism and responsible tourism, investment in natural capital, and environmental awareness. It is concluded that the green economy constitutes an alternative for the development and sustainability of tourist destinations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

La economía verde pretende la búsqueda del equilibrio entre desarrollo económico, sostenibilidad ambiental y bienestar social, a los fines de lograr beneficios para las comunidades locales y la sociedad en general, preservando los ecosistemas y teniendo un papel crucial en cuanto a su contribución o aporte a los destinos turísticos. El objetivo de este articulo es analizar el aporte de la economía verde a la sostenibilidad de destinos turísticos. La metodología fue estructurada en fases, elaborada a partir de un proceso de revisión bibliográfica, partiendo de la investigación documental, continuando con los aspectos teóricos de la economía verde, de la sostenibilidad de los destinos turísticos y finalizando con los aportes de la economía verde a la sostenibilidad de los destinos en cuestión. Entre los resultados se obtuvo el aporte de la economía verde a la sostenibilidad de los destinos turísticos que se manifiesta en el uso eficiente en la utilización de recursos, fomento de energías renovables, gestión sostenible de residuos, movilidad sostenible, agricultura y alimentación sostenible, construcción y edificación sostenible, ecoturismo y turismo responsable, inversión en capital natural y concienciación ambiental. Se concluye, que la economía verde constituye una alternativa para el desarrollo y la sostenibilidad de los destinos turísticos. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
