Abstract: Viticulture is one of the most dynamically developing branches of agriculture in recent times. In the context of external economic restrictions, the development of viticulture acquires special specificity, the main characteristics of which include intensive formation of domestic demand and import substitution, significant increase in investment in the industry, limited access to imported resources, geographical expansion of viticulture and other features. The purpose of the study is to analyze the financial and economic indicators of the functioning of agricultural organizations specializing in viticulture in the period before and after the introduction of external economic restrictions. The research methods used are the analysis of financial and economic indicators of the development of 15 organizations of various sizes for the period 2014-2023. The highest indicators of sales profitability are observed in 2022 - 31.6% and 2023 - 29.3%. External economic restrictions have a rather positive effect on the financial and economic results of the functioning of organizations specializing in viticulture. The main directions and measures for the development of the sub-sector include the development of local selection and nursery farming, the introduction of modern technologies, the diversification of sales markets, support for scientific research and education, and others.
