The purpose of the research presented in the article was to improve insulation systems based on foamed polyethylene, as well as cold preservation systems, and, in particular, the development of modified polyethylene of reduced flammability. The advantages of polyethylene foam are its complex low thermal conductivity, low vapor and water permeability, as well as the ability to form seamless connections along the surface of insulated surfaces. Seamless shells based on rolled polyethylene foam have stable thermal performance, which is due to the minimization of cold bridges, the absence of joint leaks, low thermal conductivity, vapor and water permeability of the base material, as well as its low water absorption. The experiment, which was implemented based on mathematical planning methods, made it possible to establish an analytical relationship between the consumption of fire retardant and modifier, as well as pressure in the extruder, and response functions - the average density of polyethylene foam and the flammability criterion. The oxygen flammability index of modified polyethylene foam was adopted as a flammability criterion. Foaming Agent Masterbatch and mineral filler were used as a complex fire retardant. Analytical optimization of the mathematical models obtained as a result of an active experiment made it possible to establish the optimal consumption of fire retardant, which amounted to 3.7. 3.8% by weight of the polymer. Optimized models for the average density and oxygen flammability index of modified polyethylene were obtained. An algorithm has been developed for a computer program to evaluate the properties of modified polyethylene foam depending on the values of variable factors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
