| Abstract: |
To develop foundational literacy understandings, children require access to writing and drawing materials, a means of interacting during literacy activities, and opportunities to observe varied models of literacy use. Technology provides one means of access to these central experiences. This mini seminar presents findings from the first year of an ongoing three-year qualitative research project examining technology use in preschool and school settings for children with developmental disabilities. Multi-site case studies in preschool and elementary school settings were conducted using the constant comparative method of data collection and analysis. Practical and effective classroom applications will be shared. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
