The article emphasizes the importance of proper trial planning to clinical drug development. The use of electronic protocol solutions is considered vital to the clinical development process. Among the cited benefits of early planning stages of core business processes are reduced electronic data capture setup and clinical research facility development, analysis of data collection variables, propagation of rationale and relevancy of data, criticism of study designs based on rules, performance of protocol feasibility, and budgeting and resource estimations. |
