The article presents the authors' comment on a study related to the expression pattern of protein transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 1 (TrpV1) in brain. They opine that although the study reported TrpV1 expression in hippocampal interneurons but it failed to detect any capsaicin response by calcium imaging. They feel that the study can be an effective tool for research on therapeutic properties of TrpV1. |
