The article provides information on human intestinal spirochetosis and its treatment with metronidazole. Factors that influence the colonization rate in the human colon include diet, immune function and sexual practices. Two cases of intestinal spirochetosis in Islamabad, Pakistan that were treated with oral metronidazole are also presented. |
