| Abstract: |
Investing in children during their most formative years is not only one of the smartest financial decisions that can be made as a country, it also ensures that children across the country receive the support they need to thrive. Parents, families, and early childhood educators offer glowing personal testimonies to the enriching experiences, life-changing and long-term human connections, and other benefits that early learning gives children. A rich history of research as well as ongoing studies show that investing in early learning programs produces unprecedented positive impacts for children, families, professionals, and the economy. This brief distills some of this research to highlight the many social and economic advantages that result from this commonsense approach. |
