| Abstract: |
As technology fundamentally transforms social work practice, how do we prepare the next generation of social workers to navigate this digital landscape competently and ethically? The CSWE Commission on Educational Policy (COEP) Task Force on Technology was convened in 2024 to advise on critical updates needed for the 2029 Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS). The report responds to the intersection of technology and social work education, addressing: essential knowledge and skills social workers need in the digital age, how technology is changing methods of learning and practice, and the impact of technology on social work's core goals and values. |
