| Abstract: |
The Reimagining Assessment Practicum (RAP) at Northwestern University exemplifies the importance of cross-functional collaboration, iterative design, and robust feedback processes in faculty development initiatives. RAP, a flexible, three-week series with both synchronous and asynchronous components, was created to enhance teaching and learning while addressing faculty and staff needs. Informed by participant demographics and both formative and summative feedback, RAP utilized an adapted version of Patton and Campbell-Patton's Utilization-Focused Evaluation framework to continuously refine its approach over three iterations in 2023-24. Engaging 175 participants from diverse instructional backgrounds, RAP emphasized practical examples, diverse perspectives, and tailored applications. |
