| Abstract: |
This case study examines the complex dynamics involved in managing the behavioral challenges of an elementary special education student. The focus is on the interactions between the school, the student's parents, and special education advocate. The student's disciplinary record, which includes multiple incidents of physical aggression, resulted in significant challenges for the school's staff, including an incident that sent a teacher to the emergency room. Key incidents and responses are analyzed to provide insights into effective strategies and areas for improvement in special education settings. The case highlights the role of communication and collaboration between the school, parents, and advocates. |
