Description: This dataset contains a Python script implementing a proportional–integral (PI) control loop for stabilising the wavelength of a laser system. The script communicates with a SLICE-DHV high-voltage driver via PyVISA to tune the piezo actuator of the laser, while simultaneously reading the laser wavelength from a HighFinesse wavemeter through the wlmData.dll interface. The control loop compensates deviations from a user-defined setpoint, applying anti-windup protection and enforcing safety limits on wavelength error and control voltage. All measurements and control signals are continuously logged to a file for later analysis. The software has been developed for laboratory use in high-precision laser spectroscopy and frequency metrology experiments, where long-term wavelength stability of ultra-stable laser systems is essential.
