Letter from Carl Kreider to faculty regarding Goshen College's course offerings during Summer 1969. ; The Extension Division was first established by the Indiana State Normal School Eastern Division in 1921. A new department called the Office of Extended Services was formed by Ball State University in 1947. The department was renamed the Office of Continuing Education in the 1972-1973 academic year. In 1975, the office was elevated to the rank of school and renamed the School of Continuing Education. In 1989, it was changed to the School of Continuing Education and Public Service. In 2002, it was renamed the School of Extended Education. The department later transformed into the Division of Online and Distance Education.; Ball State University's Office of Extended Services established the Fort Wayne office in 1967 with Dr. Galen Colclesser as the Director. Within its fifteen-year history, the office provided extension courses in Fort Wayne and Northern Indiana until its closure on June 30, 1984. ; This archival material has been provided for educational purposes.
