Description: Background: High leptin level is associated with childhood obesity-related comorbidities including metabolic syndrome (MS). Objective: We aimed to find out serum leptin level in obese adolescents with MS. Materials and Methods: This prospective study was conducted in the Department of Pediatrics, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, from November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2023, including 60 obese adolescents aged 10–16 years as cases and 25 nonobese adolescents as control. Serum leptin level was compared between those two groups and in adolescents with or without MS.
