| Description: |
The crowding-out hypothesis states that highlighting climate crisis interventions aimed at changing individual behavior (e.g., nudges) reduces support for environmental regulations. Across three experiments, we found no evidence for the crowding-out hypothesis. Instead, our data are more consistent with a reversed crowding-out: Making environmental regulations salient may reduce support for individual solutions. |
