Description: International audience ; We present a genome assembly from an individual female Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) aquasalis (a malaria mosquito; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Culicidae), from a wild population in French Guiana. The genome sequence is 177 megabases in span. The majority of the assembly is scaffolded into four chromosomal pseudomolecules with the X sex chromosome assembled into two arms, XR and XL. The complete mitochondrial genome was also assembled and is 15.4 kilobases in length.
