In this paper, we give a construction to realize a distinguished mono-mial from any given permutation symbol in the Ehresmann subvarieties of the flag manifold F (n+1) and study the intrinsic properties of these monomials through the ordering relation defined on the set of exponents, ZZn≥0 of the monomials. This relation is well-ordered. The bijection be-tween the collection of distinguished monomials and the set of exponents is established. We express the degree of any distinguished monomial in terms of the dimension of its corresponding cycle symbol.
