This study assessed 25 patients with severe ulcerative colitis undergoing appendicectomy. During a median postoperative follow-up of 7.5 years, the median duration of clinical response, as observed in 15 patients, was 80 months; the median duration of endoscopic improvement, as observed in 12 of patients, was 46 months. |
