Description: Objectives: Audiologists, who are practitioners of the field of audiology defined as the science of hearing and balance, can work in clinics, special education and rehabilitation centers, hearing aid sales and application centers, cochlear implant companies, academically universities and industrial areas. The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between the vocational personality type of audiologists working in different fields of audiology and the fields they work in.Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on 188 individuals working in academia, hearing aid centers, clinics, cochlear implant companies, and rehabilitation centers. A survey was administered to these individuals using the Holland Vocational Preference Inventory. The data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical program, employing frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and Chi-Square analysis.Results: As a result of the analyses, no significant difference was found between the institution where individuals work and their closest and farthest personality types (p>0.05). It was determined that the personality types closest to all audiologists were social and investigative, while the farthest personality type was conventional.Conclusion: According to our findings, all audiologists are close to the social and investigative personality type. These findings may provide information to audiology students who are still studying about the personality traits they need to develop for a good career.
