| Description: | This article provides an example of social entrepreneurship featuring older African Americans from Detroit, Michigan. The Healthier Black Elders Center Consulting program is a distinctive model of social entrepreneurship. Through this consulting program, which provides perspectives to multiple sectors, older Detroiters have guided the development of research, health care, and technology, and those elders participating have created a unique response to historical marginalization and harm. |
