Among these methods, optical remote sensing of rivers has experienced some of the most dramatic advances over the past decade. Case studies have established the feasibility of measuring in-stream parameters ranging from wood cover to stream depth to substrate size. To date, however, these studies have largely been proof-of-concept studies at local or reach scales. |
