The general objective of this research was to identify the internal factors of strategic management to strengthen comprehensive teaching in rural educational institutions in the municipality of Barrancabermeja, department of Santander, Colombia. The study was developed using the positivist approach with a quantitative method. The research was descriptive, field, non-experimental, transectional. The population was made up of 7 managers and 73 teachers. An instrument with nine items and 5 response options was used, validated by expert judgment. For reliability, Cronbach's Alpha formula was applied, whose index was 0.9309, indicating that the instrument is Highly Reliable. Descriptive statistics (Fa and Fr) were applied, with the average or arithmetic mean. As a result, it was obtained that internal factors are (generally) present in the rural educational institutions studied, highlighting that the Technology factor was scarcely present. It was concluded that indicating it was possible to recognize that the object under study is the same as what was sought, considering the internal factors such as, Organizational structure, Information system, as well as Human talent were all identified as present, and only the Technology is not always considered as a part of them in its management within the institutions studied, the municipality and the department, mentioned above. ; La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general identificar los factores internos de la gerencia estratégica para fortalecer la docencia integral en instituciones Educativas rurales del municipio de Barrancabermeja, departamento de Santander, Colombia.
