Career education services are an important part of training, learning and employment policies in all over the world. General education schools, vocational training institutions and territorial labor exchanges are the main authorities that put into practice career education services for learners and job seekers in the country. High-quality career education services have impact on human life choices. In addition to that these services contributes to the effective allocation of human resources, so it is important for whole society. The aim of Master Thesis is to evaluate the development of career education in general education schools, vocational training institutions and local labor exchanges. Secondary quantitative data analysis method was selected in order to reach the aim of survey. These tasks were raised to prove the investigation – analyze the concept of career education, analyze career education services and organization on the basis of career education governing documents, analyze the career education services and their organization practices in Lithuanian general education and vocational training institutions, analyze the career education services in Lithuania's territorial labor exchanges, compare trends of career education services performance in education and labor market policies. The importance of career education services was proved theoretically after deep analysis of the scientific literature. Document analysis helped to identify career education services standards and disclosure guidelines of service implementation. Furthermore, secondary quantitative data analysis showed that the career education in general education schools and vocational training institutions are facing problems. It turned out that career specialist is the main person responsible for the career education implementation and fulfillment in the schools.
