Tinnitus is sound perception can describe in different ways that can be heard without any auditory stimulation. Central auditory processing (CAP) can be defined is the perceptual processing of auditory information. The purpose of this article is to compare the temporal sequence performance of individuals with and without tinnitus. Our study there were two groups that control group (Group I) and tinnitus group (Group II). All groups were consisted of people with normal hearing. Group I was consisted of 20 people without tinnitus and Group II was consisted of 34 people with tinnitus. Pure tone audiometry was used to determined the hearing threshold and tinnitus frequency for the participants. Frequency pattern test and duration pattern test were applied to evaluate participants' temporal sequencing performance. In addition, the tinnitus degree of Group II was determined by the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory. Mann Whitney U test was used for pairwise groups comparisons. Pearson correlation was applied to examine the relationship between Tinnitus Handicap Inverntory and frequency pattern test and duariton pattern test. In the comparison of control group and tinnitus group, ıt was observed that there was no significant difference between this groups in frequency pattern and duration pattern tests results. However, a negative correlation was found between Tinnitus Handicap Inventory score and frequency pattern and duration pattern tests scores. In conclusion, this study pointed out that temporal sequencing performance may be affected by increasing the degree of tinnitus in individuals with normal hearing. ; Tinnitus, ortamda herhangi bir akustik uyaran olmaksızın kişinin duyduğu ses algısıdır.
