Title: Promoting human health and well-being in buildings
Authors: Loder, Angela; Altomonte, Sergio
Contributors: UCL - SST/ILOC - Faculté d'Architecture, d'Ingénierie architecturale, d'Urbanisme
Publisher Information: Eurac Research
Publication Year: 2019
Collection: DIAL@USL-B (Université Saint-Louis, Bruxelles)
Subject Terms: Human Health; Well-being; Buildings
Description: Despite being a common goal for many building standards and green-rating systems, a comprehensive framework to design, implement, and evaluate buildings for occupant health and well-being outcomes is yet to be achieved. Such a framework is required in order to provide a clear understanding of what health and well-being actually mean in buildings. It would provide a clear blueprint/strategy detailing/outlining/advising how to translate this understanding into building-level design, operations, and maintenance interventions, and a clear map of what metrics and tools are available (or need to be developed) to effectively measure and evaluate health and well-being outcomes.
