Description: Background: The study aims to determine the complications associated with Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy among patients with Urolithiasis, to determine the severity of complications associated with Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in the study group and to examine the factors associated with complications in the study group. Objective: To determine the complications and their severity associated with Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy among patients with urolithiasis, and to examine the factors contributing to these complications within the study group. Methods: We retrospectively analysed the case sheets of 500 patients who underwent PCNL from 2016–2020. Data analysed included patient associated factors-age, gender, stone size, location and surgery associated factors-access site, operation time. Results: Out of 495 patients, 328 were males (66.26%) and 167 were females (33.70%) and with male to female ratio 1.97:1. The mean age is 49.80 ± 11.96 (14-85). The mean operative time (including Anaesthesia) is 62.09 ± 20.98 (± standard deviation (SD). Complete stone clearance was seen in 90.7%. The complication rate is 32.12%. Conclusion: PCNL is an effective and safe technique overall for minimally invasive removal of kidney stones with a high success rate and a low major complication rate.
