This ENACT deliverable D2.1 (State of the Art Analysis, Vision, & ENACT Specifications) combines and presents the first iteration of work undertaken in T2.1 (State of Art Analysis and Requirements for Efficient Data Processing in Compute Continuums), T2.2 (Specifications of Innovative Solutions for Efficient Data Processing in the Compute Continuum) and T2.4 (ENACT Use-Case Definitions and Specifications of Use-Case Solutions) of the ENACT project, and includes a thorough analysis of the SotA in research fields relevant to ENACT scopes and objectives; the specification of the ENACT platform and its components; the definitions and specifications of the ENACT Use Cases (UCs); and the Impact and Vision for the ENACT platform as well as the ENACT Pilots. The deliverable takes into consideration the activities and purposes detailed in the Description of Action (DoA) and presents the outcome of iterative and highly collaborative work performed among technical and UC partners in the frame of ENACT WP2 activities, including the aforementioned Tasks as well as T2.3 (Architecture of the ENACT Cognitive Continuum). Activities were organised by the respective Task leaders and overseen by the WP2 lead and project coordination, ensuring close collaboration among Tasks and partners, and compliance with the ENACT project scopes and objectives as well as with the ENACT platform architecture being prepared in parallel. ; Submitted for EC approval |
