Joaquín Vaquero Turcios (1933-2010) studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Rome during the 1950s. In those years, he collaborated with RNA Revista Nacional de Arquitectura as an illustrator, alongside José Luis Picardo and Fernando Cavestany, and was later appointed the Journal’s correspondent in Italy. Since EGA Revista de Expresión Gráfica Arquitectónica has previously published individual articles on the involvement of architects J. L. Picardo and F. Cavestany with RNA, it seems appropriate to devote a third study to an examination of Vaquero Turcios’s contributions to the Journal, through which his evolution and increasing refinement in representational methods can be clearly observed. ; Joaquín Vaquero Turcios (1933-2010) estudió en la Facultad de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Roma en la década de los cincuenta. Durante esos años colaboró con la Revista Nacional de Arquitectura (RNA) como dibujante o ilustrador, junto a José Luis Picardo y Fernando Cavestany, siendo nombrado algo más tarde corresponsal de la revista en Italia. Habida cuenta de que EGA Revista de Expresión Gráfica Arquitectónica publicó en su momento sendos artículos sobre la participación de los arquitectos J. L. Picardo y F. Cavestany en RNA, parece oportuno dedicar un tercer trabajo a glosar las colaboraciones del joven Vaquero Turcios con la revista, en las que puede apreciarse tanto su evolución y perfeccionamiento en los modos de representación, como la influencia en su obra posterior. |
