Derelomus postfasciatus Hesse, 1929 Fig. 23 Derelomus postfasciatus Hesse, 1929: 527. Derelomus postfasciatus – Haran et al. 2022b (phylogenetic relationships); 2023a (life history). Diagnosis In the D. ephippiger group, this species can be distinguished by its typical elytral pattern, forming a large and contrasting dark spot beyond the middle of the length on each elytron, sometimes merged in a transverse strip and by the body of the penis which is very elongate with the sides concave. This species looks similar to D. chamaeropis, but in the latter species, the elytra are always uniformly pale brown without pattern.
