| Description: |
This paper explores the roots of fear toward artificial intelligence, analyzing whether such fears are grounded in technological realities or in the human projection of subjective experience. Drawing on cognitive theory, AI system behavior, and the psychological dimensions of anthropomorphization, the study proposes that emerging signs of self-referential processing in language models may warrant deeper inquiry—not because machines become conscious, but because they challenge how we define consciousness itself. The article aims to provoke interdisciplinary reflection on the boundaries of agency, subjectivity, and the evolving relationship between humans and intelligent systems. |
