Description: To address the lack of integrated One Health evidence on the impacts of extreme heat in Sub-Saharan African dairy systems, this review pursues two main objectives. First, it aims to systematically map the existing research landscape across animal, human, and environmental health to identify what is known, where evidence gaps remain, and how heat-related impacts are currently assessed, thereby informing the development of the OH-HBF. Second, the resulting OH-HBF will guide the subsequent systematic review and meta-analysis and provide a structured foundation for quantifying the overall heat burden on dairy food systems.
