| Description: | The field of Abdominal wall reconstruction (AWR) has become globally popular in recent years due to various advancement in techniques. However, the management of complex ventral hernias (CVH) with loss of domain demands more attention and the learning curve for even experienced surgeons can be very high. The component separation techniques are widely used for complex ventral hernia repairs. Loss of domain hernias may require the necessity of combining component separation with other newer techniques such as Botulinum toxin A(BTA) administration and Fasciotens device. In this paper we highlight an interesting case of LOD hernia utilizing these techniques. |
