Description: Using (27.12±0.14)×108 ⁡(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, we have observed the decay ⁡(3686)→Σ0⁢¯Σ0⁢ for the first time with a statistical significance of 7.6⁢. Its branching fraction is measured to be (2.64±0.3⁢2stat±0.1⁢2sys)×10−6, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The result is consistent with the previous measurement of its isospin partner process ⁡(3686) →Σ+⁢¯Σ−⁢, aligning with the naive expectation of isospin symmetry. In addition, we search for potential intermediate states in the Σ0⁢ (¯Σ0⁢) invariant mass distribution and a possible threshold enhancement in the Σ0⁢¯Σ0 system, but no conclusive evidence of them is observed.
