The anthology Challenges and Opportunities in Music and Education expands on work presented at the MiU-Conference 2023 and includes contributions across the diverse fields of music pedagogical research, education, and practice. Different scholarly voices raise in varying ways music’s relevance in life and education, across disciplines and traditions.;The anthology encompasses a breadth of topics and research approaches, but one pivotal point is how music in education creates the potential for participation and inter-relations in a democratic, music pedagogical practice. As a whole, it challenges constructed boundaries between disciplines and educational institutions, along with established norms and practices. Thus, the anthology contributes with extending and expanding the field of music pedagogy, both with respect to what knowledge and knowledge creation can be, and how knowledge is disseminated and managed.;The anthology contains both written and multimodal contributions within scholarly and artistic research traditions.;Antologien Utfordringer og muligheter innen musikk og utdanning er en videreføring av MiU-konferansen 2023, og inneholder kunnskapsbidrag innen det mangfoldige musikkpedagogiske forsknings- utdannings- og praksisfeltet. Ulike forskerstemmer løfter på forskjellige måter fram musikkens relevans i liv og utdanning, på tvers av fagområder og tradisjoner.;Antologien favner bredt både innen tematikk og forskningstilnærming, men et omdreiningspunkt er hvordan musikk i utdanning skaper mulighetsrom for deltagelse og relasjoner i en demokratisk musikkpedagogisk praksis. Konstruerte grenseoppganger mellom fagområder og utdanningsinstitusjoner, så vel som etablerte normer og praksiser, utfordres. Antologien bidrar derfor med å tøye og utvide handlingsrommet i musikkpedagogikk, både med tanke på hva kunnskap og kunnskaping kan være, og hvordan kunnskap formidles og forvaltes.;Antologien inneholder både skriftlige og multimodale bidrag innen og vitenskapelige og kunstneriske forskningstradisjoner. |
