At the core of these struggles lies the quest for a new institutional relationship between territory, the state and ethnic groups. Both regions share a similar historical and institutional legacy which must be regarded as having paved the ground for a rise in ethno-nationalism. There is, as a result, wide potential for conflict in both regions. However, similar structural conditions do not always turn into violent conflicts. Rapid institutional change, as occuring in the former Yugoslavia and the former Soviet Union, can lead to new institutional arrangements on smaller scales - which may in turn provide stability in inter-group relations and border management. Therefore, it is of vital importance to the study of conflict analysis to identify what conditions foster new orders, and what factors, actors and institutions are necessary to create a stable equilibrium in intra- and inter-group c lok: 45180037 3 exp: 45180037 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.518 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354362 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 5 exp: 45180037 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.525 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354370 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 8 exp: 45180037 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.533 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354389 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 10 exp: 45180037 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.540 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354397 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 11 exp: 45180037 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.547 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354400 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 20 exp: 45180037 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.554 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354419 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 21 exp: 45180037 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.560 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354427 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 23 exp: 45180037 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.568 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354435 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 24 exp: 45180037 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.574 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354443 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 25 exp: 45180037 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.581 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354451 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 36 exp: 45180037 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.587 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0115535446X 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 49 exp: 45180037 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.595 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354478 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 54 exp: 45180037 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.608 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354494 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 108 exp: 45180037 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.628 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354516 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 204 exp: 45180037 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.635 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354524 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH lok: 45180037 205 exp: 45180037 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $029-05-21 $t22:22:45.643 201C/01 $029-05-21 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01155354532 208@/01 $a29-05-21 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttp://www.ssoar.info/ssoar/handle/document/27080 $XH
