047I    $aZusammenfassung: Im September 2024 soll beim Zukunftsgipfel der Vereinten Nationen der globale Digitalpakt verabschiedet werden. Der Pakt wird zentrale Themen der internationalen Digitalpolitik aufgreifen, vom Zugang zu digitalen Technologien bis hin zu regulatorischen Herausforderungen Künstlicher Intelligenz. Gleichzeitig soll der Pakt dazu dienen, die Rolle der VN in diesem Bereich neu zu bestimmen. Bislang bleibt aber vieles vage, und die Klärung strittiger Fragen wird in Folgeprozesse ausgelagert. Für die deutsche Politik geht es um viel, gilt es doch, das übergeordnete Ziel "Stärkung der VN" mit jenen Zielen für die internationale Digitalpolitik zu verbinden, welche gerade erst innerhalb der Regierung vereinbart wurden. Entscheidend dafür wird sein, Rückschritte bei Themen wie Menschenrechtsschutz und Nachhaltigkeitspolitik zu verhindern und Leitplanken für die Ausgestaltung des Folgeprozesses zu setzen
