This report presents an overview of the most significant elements of intergovernmental fiscal policy in the Czech Republic, and considers the available options for moving the policy agenda forward. Issues discussed include: administrative structure; expenditure and revenue assignments; fiscal imbalances and transfers; access to borrowing and indebtedness; and budgeting. Whilst each of these elements are examined separately, the report notes that they are interrelated and that reform design needs to be conducted in a co-ordinated manner.
