Die Dias werden durch einen erzählenden Text von Charlotte Wiser ergänzt. Die Dias im Kapitel über die 1990er Jahre sind von Susan S. Wadley. In der Diashow wird der gesellschaftliche Wandel in der nordindischen Stadt Karimpur thematisiert und dargestellt. - [Engl.:] In the 1970s, Don and Jean Johnson, who had often taken students from NYU to Karimpur, made famous by the books Behind Mud Walls and The Hindu Jajmani System, put together a slide set as a supplement for teachers. That slide set, and a narrative written for it by Charlotte Wiser, forms the core of the following presentation. Susan S. Wadley of Syracuse University, whose own writings on Karimpur (Struggling with Destiny in Karimpur, 1925-1984) have furthered our knowledge of this community, has added a new section that shows the aspects of the village community in the 1990s.
