At the core of these struggles lies the quest for a new institutional relationship between territory, the state and ethnic groups. Both regions share a similar historical and institutional legacy which must be regarded as having paved the ground for a rise in ethno-nationalism. There is, as a result, wide potential for conflict in both regions. However, similar structural conditions do not always turn into violent conflicts. Rapid institutional change, as occuring in the former Yugoslavia and the former Soviet Union, can lead to new institutional arrangements on smaller scales - which may in turn provide stability in inter-group relations and border management. Therefore, it is of vital importance to the study of conflict analysis to identify what conditions foster new orders, and what factors, actors and institutions are necessary to create a stable equilibrium in intra- and inter-group conflicts. This book brings together a selection of case studies and theoretical approaches aimed at identifying the institutions which prevented or fostered escalation of conflict in the Caucasus and former Yugoslavia, and, will be of great benefit to students of these topics. lok: 36240820 3 exp: 36240820 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.670 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757435343 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 5 exp: 36240820 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.675 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $075805582X 208@/01 $a06-08-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 8 exp: 36240820 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.679 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757435351 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 10 exp: 36240820 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.690 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $075743536X 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 11 exp: 36240820 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.695 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0758055838 208@/01 $a06-08-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 20 exp: 36240820 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.699 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757435378 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 21 exp: 36240820 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.704 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0758055854 208@/01 $a06-08-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 23 exp: 36240820 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.709 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757435386 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 24 exp: 36240820 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.714 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0758055862 208@/01 $a06-08-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 25 exp: 36240820 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.717 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757435394 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 36 exp: 36240820 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.726 201C/01 $017-08-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0121258435X 208@/01 $a17-08-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 49 exp: 36240820 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.730 201C/01 $003-04-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01091923167 208@/01 $a03-04-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 51 exp: 36240820 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.812 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0758055897 208@/01 $a06-08-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 54 exp: 36240820 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.818 201C/01 $003-04-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01091923175 208@/01 $a03-04-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 108 exp: 36240820 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.860 201C/01 $003-04-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01091923183 208@/01 $a03-04-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 204 exp: 36240820 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.863 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757435408 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR lok: 36240820 205 exp: 36240820 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t02:15:49.866 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757435416 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/35029 $XR
