The special focus is on binding the empirical analysis to the theoretical and methodological discussions of the temporality of news(paper) culture. The authors of the articles ask to what extent newspapers report on the past and present and to what extent these reports refer to the future. A diachronic analysis of newspaper texts from different periods of time demonstrates that the temporal focus of newspapers changes over time: in some periods, the past receives remarkably more attention, while in other periods the news timeframe is biased towards current events and the future. One study asks how similar, or different, is the (re)construction of the past in Estonian daily newspapers published in Estonian and Russian in 1994 and 2009. Two articles focus on analysis of the links between social remembering and anniversary journalism. Another article provides an overview of the depiction of women in Estonian newspapers and magazines from 1848 to 1940. This collection revitalizes the study of time in news discourse, suggesting new methodological perspectives and developing interdisciplinary approaches in cultural theory. lok: 36241776 3 exp: 36241776 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.106 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757511821 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 5 exp: 36241776 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.124 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757861113 208@/01 $a31-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 8 exp: 36241776 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.127 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $075751183X 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 10 exp: 36241776 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.129 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757511848 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 11 exp: 36241776 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.132 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757861121 208@/01 $a31-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 13 exp: 36241776 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.134 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $075786113X 208@/01 $a31-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 21 exp: 36241776 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.137 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757861148 208@/01 $a31-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 23 exp: 36241776 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.140 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757511864 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 24 exp: 36241776 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.142 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757861156 208@/01 $a31-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 25 exp: 36241776 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.146 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757511872 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 36 exp: 36241776 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.151 201C/01 $023-09-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01214382142 208@/01 $a23-09-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 51 exp: 36241776 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.155 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757861199 208@/01 $a31-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 74 exp: 36241776 74 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.157 201C/01 $008-10-24 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01276880480 208@/01 $a08-10-24 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 75 exp: 36241776 75 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.160 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757861210 208@/01 $a31-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 107 exp: 36241776 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.163 201C/01 $003-04-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01091932891 208@/01 $a03-04-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 108 exp: 36241776 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.166 201C/01 $003-04-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01091932905 208@/01 $a03-04-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 204 exp: 36241776 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.169 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757511880 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR lok: 36241776 205 exp: 36241776 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $004-06-25 $t00:23:44.171 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0757511899 208@/01 $a24-07-15 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/33893 $XR
