It looks at both the crucial aspect of foreign policy as well as a theoretical area of security studies and its impact in the former Soviet States including Russia, Belarus, Armenia, the Ukraine and Moldova. The first section addresses the important and varied range of security threats to this area of the world, and examines the range of responses open to European countries and to the United States. Threats such as ethnic conflict, transnational crime, and environmental and energy security issues are examined in depth. The second section addresses an important theoretical issue, namely the role that international institutions can perhaps play as arbiters of conflict and facilitators of cooperation in a region abutting the European political space. The role of the OSCE, NATO, the European Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Council are consequently examined closely. The contributors are scholars with solid international reputations, and the book will be of benefit to students of international relations and conflict analysis. lok: 37860971 3 exp: 37860971 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.589 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019487 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 5 exp: 37860971 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.596 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019495 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 8 exp: 37860971 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.604 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019509 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 10 exp: 37860971 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.609 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019517 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 11 exp: 37860971 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.614 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019525 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 20 exp: 37860971 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.620 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019541 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 21 exp: 37860971 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.625 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $077201955X 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 23 exp: 37860971 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.632 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019568 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 24 exp: 37860971 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.638 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019576 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 25 exp: 37860971 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.643 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019584 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 36 exp: 37860971 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.686 201C/01 $014-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01176837168 208@/01 $a14-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 49 exp: 37860971 49 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.649 201C/01 $024-04-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01102261106 208@/01 $a24-04-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 54 exp: 37860971 54 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.660 201C/01 $024-04-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01102261114 208@/01 $a24-04-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 108 exp: 37860971 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.671 201C/01 $024-04-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01102261122 208@/01 $a24-04-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 204 exp: 37860971 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.676 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019622 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH lok: 37860971 205 exp: 37860971 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $014-01-22 $t22:44:07.682 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0772019630 208@/01 $a26-04-16 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/25858 $XH
