Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin feierte man sowohl die räumliche Erweiterung und inhaltliche Fortführung der Neuen Nationalgalerie, als auch den Schritt, die renommierte Sammlung Marx an die Hauptstadt gebunden zu haben. Mit kritischem Blick hinterfragt die vorliegende Arbeit die Maßnahmen des Architekten J.P. Kleihues, die Integration einer Privatsammlung in eine Staatliche Institution und das als neuartig deklarierte Museumskonzept 
047I    $aZusammenfassung: The opening of the "Museum für Gegenwart" in the former station "Hamburger Bahnhof" in Berlin celebrated the expansion, in form and content, of the "Neue Nationalgalerie". This presented also the possibility of keeping the famous private collection Marx permanently in Berlin. The following paper critically discusses three issue: the architectural work of J.P. Kleihues, the integration of a private collection into a public institution, and the intended novel concept of the mnuseum.
