From early browsers to today’s principal source of information, entertainment and much else, the Web is an integral part of our daily lives, to the extent that some people believe ‘if it’s not online, it doesn’t exist.’ While this statement is not entirely true, it is becoming increasingly accurate, and reflects the Web’s role as an indispensable treasure trove. It is curious, therefore, that historians and social scientists have thus far made little use of the Web to investigate historical patterns of culture and society, despite making good use of letters, novels, newspapers, radio and television programmes, and other pre-digital artefacts.This volume argues that now is the time to ask what we have learnt from the Web so far. The 12 chapters explore this topic from a number of interdisciplinary angles – through histories of national web spaces and case studies of different government and media domains – as well as an introduction that provides an overview of this exciting new area of research. lok: 40251528 3 exp: 40251528 3 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.652 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0805529608 208@/01 $a21-04-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 5 exp: 40251528 5 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.658 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01005790124 208@/01 $a07-08-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 8 exp: 40251528 8 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.662 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0805529616 208@/01 $a21-04-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 10 exp: 40251528 10 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.667 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0805529624 208@/01 $a21-04-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 11 exp: 40251528 11 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.672 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01005790132 208@/01 $a07-08-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 13 exp: 40251528 13 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.676 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01005790140 208@/01 $a07-08-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 20 exp: 40251528 20 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.680 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0805529632 208@/01 $a21-04-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 21 exp: 40251528 21 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.684 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01001631676 208@/01 $a23-06-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 23 exp: 40251528 23 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.689 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0805529640 208@/01 $a21-04-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 24 exp: 40251528 24 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.693 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01005790159 208@/01 $a07-08-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 25 exp: 40251528 25 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.697 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0805529659 208@/01 $a21-04-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 36 exp: 40251528 36 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.749 201C/01 $013-01-22 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01176679910 208@/01 $a13-01-22 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 51 exp: 40251528 51 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.706 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01005790191 208@/01 $a07-08-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 59 exp: 40251528 59 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.714 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01005790213 208@/01 $a07-08-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 75 exp: 40251528 75 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.723 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0100579023X 208@/01 $a07-08-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 107 exp: 40251528 107 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.732 201C/01 $019-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01087380480 208@/01 $a19-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 108 exp: 40251528 108 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.738 201C/01 $019-03-20 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $01087380499 208@/01 $a19-03-20 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 204 exp: 40251528 204 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.742 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0805529667 208@/01 $a21-04-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH lok: 40251528 205 exp: 40251528 205 1 #EPN 201B/01 $013-01-22 $t22:52:03.746 201U/01 $0utf8 203@/01 $0805529675 208@/01 $a21-04-17 $bl 209S/01 $S0 $uhttps://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/34639 $XH
